Leveraging existing operations to achieve a smooth system transition ◆ A system that automatically records just by passing through Autonomous RFID readers and antennas are installed at the entrances and exits of each process. A management slip with an RF tag is attached to the side of the tray containing the products, and as the cart carrying the tray passes through, the tag ID and passing time data are automatically sent and stored in the cloud. By linking the reader ID and location in advance, it enables real-time tracking of the last location the product passed through, which is its current whereabouts. ◆ Innovations that minimize the burden on the site In this implementation, we adopted a method that combines the management slip (which has a QR code and management number) that has been used previously with an RF tag. This approach allows for a significant change in the existing workflow to be unnecessary, enabling on-site personnel to transition to the RFID system without any discomfort. It achieves a balance between automatic recording via RFID and visual confirmation through QR codes and printing, ensuring both the system's convenience and clarity for users.
